Adapting twelve episodes into one night
Missing Hill Town is told in episodes, so it can afford to skip time. A game cannot: if a corridor is in the fiction, someone has to model it.
We kept the building, the cast and the hum, and cut everything that happened off-screen. What is left is one night, in one place, in roughly the order you would walk it.
Anything the series explained in narration is now a thing you find. That is the whole adaptation, really.
